Safewaste Skip Hire
General Terms and Conditions of Business
The standard hire term for a skip is usually between 2 – 3 weeks. However, should you require a longer hire term, please discuss this with us at the time of hire.
Full payment is required on the day of delivery (or shortly after) and we accept cash, cheque, BACS or debit/credit card payment.
Skip Licences for Public Highways
Should you require a skip to be placed on a Public Highway, a Local Authority Permit/Licence will be required. Safewaste Skip Hire will be responsible for obtaining the necessary Highways Authority approval, subject to local council regulations.
Customers are responsible for adhering to the safety conditions of the Highways Authority (including maintaining the provision of appropriate lighting and traffic cones).
Skips on Private Property/Rights of Access
Where it is necessary for our vehicle to enter private property to deliver or collect a skip, please be aware that the customer is responsible for any claims for damages sustained, either to the vehicle or skip itself or to persons involved.
Skips must not be overloaded and it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that only safe materials are loaded into skips. Safewaste Skip Hire is fully compliant with legislation concerning hazardous waste material and a list of items that we will not accept is shown below:
